Let Home be our Life

On a free land,

in clean fresh air,

upon clear waters,

under an open and wide sky,

clarified against the fashionable,

distant to nerd behavior,

away from any religion,

denying any ideology,

so I built home,*

admiring nature,

valuing humanity,

open to the arts,

substantiating peace and empathy,

taking sides against war,

tearing up enemy images,

cultivating emancipated individualism,

demonstrating upright backbone,

yearning for love and giving it,

not keeping silent even in silence.

None of rhapsodizing,

but implementation,

manifestation

in everyday life,

and while celebrating festivities.

Let home be our life.

* There is no equivalent word in the English language for the German term of “Heimat”.
